We help underprivileged girls and young women achieve the education necessary to drive social and economic equality

The economic and social climate in India severely limits the opportunities for underprivileged girls and young women. Many are married off before completing their education. The vicious cycle of lack of education and poverty repeats itself as these deserving girls and young women are robbed of their opportunity to improve their lives and the lives of their families.

Founded in 2007 to address the social and economic inequality plaguing young Indian women, Meenakshi Foundation provides education, social support, mentoring, and job training to girls and young women. We believe that when women are empowered the benefits radiate outward to their families and to society at large.

We are a volunteer organization with a big heart and a practical agenda promoting economic and social justice for women. Reinforced and bolstered by our experience working with the inspiring young women of India, we partner with local organizations to make sure our funds are used to give our students the support they need to thrive.
